Sunshine and Moonlight in a Bottle

A scented poem inspired by the joyful radiance of Sunshine Woman by Amouage and the cold, after dark allure of Bois Dore by Van Cleef & Arpels. To me, these smell like two moments in time.

Warm and inviting,

Peaking through the crowd and clouds until free.

Golden osmanthus hues mixing with white tobacco and blackcurrant,

Making their presence known.

Sweet scents fill the air,

Radiating positive energy.

A joyful awakening.

As it sets, painting a colorful scene,

It offers a calm, relaxing goodbye.

Sunshine no longer gilds the trees.

Heated rays give way to a cold breeze,

Swirling dust kicked up from footsteps along the dark, mineral beach.

The moonlight, a spotlight, shines on the crowd dancing the night away.

Syrupy cocktails, sugared desserts, and skin kissed with sweat

Overtake your senses.

No one wants this vacation to end.
