About the Recipe

One of my all-time favorite snacks has to be soft-baked cookies. Whenever I'm craving a cozy treat, I turn to this irresistible oatmeal cookie recipe. It's a tried-and-true favorite that never fails to delight.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1 tsp of baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 cup of brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup of butter

  • 3 tbsp of maple syrup (I use 1 tbsp of pancake syrup and 2 of real maple syrup)

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp of milk (if needed)

Preparation

Quick and easy:

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2:

Melt the butter, then combine and mix all wet ingredients in a bowl.

Step 3:

In a separate bowl, combine and mix all dry ingredients.

Step 4:

Mix all ingredients together to form the cookie dough. If the dough seems too crumbly, add a tablespoon of milk to the mixture until you can roll the dough into balls without them falling apart.

Step 5:

Once the oven has reached 350 degrees Fahrenheit, place a tray of your rolled dough balls into the oven and bake for at least 9 minutes.

Step 6:

After safely removing the cookies from the oven, let them cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack (or surface/container of your choosing) to cool completely. Enjoy your delicious homemade cookies!
